The post 9 Wegweiser zu einer gelungenen Präsentation – Teil 2: Visualisierung appeared first on reichweite.

<a href="http://reichweite.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/secret-structure.jpg" rel="prettyPhoto[post_content]" title=""You're not Luke Skywalker, you're Yoda." Nancy Duartes Storytelling-Ansatz" rel="lightbox[417]">

Nancy Duartes Kernbotschaft ist: “You can change the world.”

I. Storytelling = Mitreißen!

The post “You’re not Luke Skywalker, you’re Yoda.” Nancy Duartes Storytelling-Ansatz appeared first on reichweite.

New series on this blog – starting today

R.I.P. Steve Jobs – when he was still alive clients and friends repeatedly told me they wanted to be able to “present like Steve Jobs”.

That’s aiming high and in the right direction as not only were his keynotes always memorable (at least for Apple fans) but reportedly he rehearsed a lot.

However, two facts oppose the possibility of being able to present like Steve Jobs did: To begin with anyone I have known so far presented a product or concept that everyone in the audience wanted anyway (as much wanted as new Apple products are wanted by their fans). This means that only those who have really sexy and hyped products or concepts have a chance of getting close to Jobs. But the second obstacle is insurmountable: We’re not Steve Jobs.

The series of blogposts will have analyses and portraits of presentations, keynotes and their respective speakers who are far from being as famous for their presos as Steve Jobs was. By and by, the posts will form a gallery ...

The post Present like Steve Jobs appeared first on reichweite.

Improve your Presentation – Teil 3.

The post What you see is what you get – ‘nackt’ präsentieren. appeared first on reichweite.

Summary of yesterday’s entry “König Kunde!” in English. German visitors to the blog please read the German version of 22 August.

“King Customer” or “The Customer is King” is a German idiom for ‘The Customer is always right’. To summarize the blog entry in a simple sentence: As question, so the answer. In a normal selling situation a good salesman will put positive opening questions to his customer in order to attract sympathy and trust from him. I claim that it’s a creative and instructive game to reverse roles, i.e. to lead a perfect sales conversation as a customer. This means, you choose to be a benign sovereign instead of acting the tyrant or absolutist customer/king: You’re the one seeking sympathy and trust from your subjects. To reign does mean to lead and direct people and – in this case – to lead and direct a successful conversation. The right questions are essential for this success.

With a group of colleagues we trained our own competence in putting the right questions facing an unmotivated waitress in a restaurant coach on ...

The post As question, so the answer. appeared first on reichweite.
