Nähe und Distanz

3000 Menschen drei Tage lang auf einem Fleck – und alle eint das Interesse an Blogs, sozialen Medien und der digitalen Gesellschaft. Dass sich so viele Digitale in der Kohlestoffwelt treffen und mit geballter sozialer Kompetenz vor Ort finden, unterhalten, austauschen und einander vorstellen: das ist großartig und funktioniert hervorragend. Wie so viele andere Blogbeiträge schon resümierten: alleine dafür lohnt sich dieses Event.

Die weniger digital-affinen Menschen aus unserem Umfeld zweifeln oft daran, dass über Twitter und/oder Facebook Nähe entstehen kann. Ich behaupte: Wen ich über Twitter aus der ‘Ferne’ als interessant erlebe, der ist es auch im echten Leben aus der Nähe betrachtet. Seine ‘Kontakte’ werden zu meinen Kontakten. Die 30 bis 50 Leute, die ich ohnehin schon ‘in echt’ kannte, haben mir jeweils 1 bis 10 neue Menschen vorgestellt. Kurz hochrechnen… Aus diesem Grund musste ich mich zwei Mal in den drei Tagen absentieren, um nicht ‘overwhelmed’ zu sein.

So here’s a person/puppet who does something happily, eagerly, putting his heart into it. You might remember boring presentations, however, in which the presenter was not at all happy, nor was he eager and neither did he put any heart in what he said. In this song the lead singer’s “Manamana” would be boring and incomplete without the “bah-bee-bee-bee-bee” of the female singers!
